IVMM is quite active in promoting VM in Malaysia through national seminars, talks, trainings, bulletins and the like as well frequent participation with other VM / VE societies in the world. Apart from that, IVMM also progressively updated its own resources on VM, National VM Guide and VM Competency Standard (VMCS) amongst others.

National Value Management Guide

The primary purpose of the guide is to clarify the outline of the Value Management (VM) methodology framework that will become the reference of VM application for programmes, projects, facilities, systems, products and services.

The guide is prepared as a result of the successful VM studies for programmes, projects, facilities, systems, products and services in Malaysia.

Relevant for all professionals and stakeholders such as Project Owners, Project Managers, Engineers, Architects, Surveyors, Manufacturers, Bankers, Academicians, tertiary education students and general public.

Value Management Competency Standard

Value Management Competency Standards (VMCS) intends to outline key principles of competencies for applying Value Management (VM) in programmes, projects, facilities, systems, products, services etc. across sectors in Malaysia.

The competencies in VMCS are established based on the combined elements of “knowledge, skills, values and experiences” of VM, of which every VM practitioner is expected to attain and perform in a consistent manner.

VMCS explicitly and comprehensively specifies the benchmark of VM competencies, thus the standards support towards recognition of VM professionalism.
