The Institute of Value Management Malaysia (IVMM) consists of the following categories of members who are residing or working inMalaysia:
1. CORPORATE MEMBER
Corporate members must first apply their membership with IVMM. A membership number will be issued once the application accepted which entitle them to the full benefit of facilities, voting rights and rights to hold office in IVMM. Corporate membership is divided into the following categories:
A fellow shall be a Malaysian citizen who is not less than 35 years of age, not less than 5 years employment in position of major responsibility in VM and has a occupied a prominent position in the profession and has made noteworthy contribution to the profession of VM/VE.
A member shall be a Malaysian citizen who is not less 25 years of age, possesses a degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized university with at least 4 years relevant experience; or possesses diploma or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution with at least 6 years experience.
An Associate Member shall be a Malaysian citizen who is not less than 20 years of age, possesses a degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised university with at least 2 years relevant experience; or possesses a diploma or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution with at least 4 years experience. An Associate member shall have no voting right and may hold any office in the Governing Council.
2. NON-CORPORATE MEMBER
These members shall submit their application to IVMM and will enjoy the benefit from facilities provided by the institute without the right to vote and hold office. Non-corporate membership for more than 5 years.
A Student Member shall be a Malaysian citizen who is not less than 18 years of age and currently preparing for a professional career in projects and management. No member shall be permitted to retain this grade of membership for more than 5 years.
An Affiliate Member shall be a Malaysian citizen who is not less than 25 years of age, by virtue of his/her qualifications and or professional experience is required to cooperate with VM facilities/managers in their normal activities and interested actively in the advancement of the profession of VM.
An Honorary is conferred by the Governing Council for his /her outstanding contribution to advancement of the profession of the Institute.
Any firm, Corporate, Association, Society, and Departments in Government agencies, Institution or a statutory which is interested in improving the profession is eligible to become an Institutional Member.
